Cassettes
DiaClamp® interchangeable cassettes – the heart of the intelligent clamping solution
The pair of interchangeable cassettes forms the heart of the DiaClamp® system, complementing the base unit. It enables workpiece-specific adaptation of the clamping geometry and ensures maximum repeat accuracy in the automated machining of complex free-form surfaces.
The cassettes have a modular design and consist of a lower and an upper unit, each containing the following components:
Lower cassette
- Two workpiece-specific disc packages for form-fitting fixation
- A fixed roof stop for axial workpiece support
- An optional retractable roof support
- Integrated air ducts for cleaning and retracting the moving elements
- Adjustable contact pressure of the moving roof support
Upper Cassette
- Two additional disc packages tailored to the workpiece
- Two optional retractable roof supports
- Air ducts for cleaning and returning the moving elements
- Adjustment option for the contact pressure
The cassettes are designed and configured by the DiaClamp® engineering team. Both the geometry and the mounting type of the discs are precisely tailored to the respective workpiece. Particular attention is paid to positional accuracy, as this has a decisive influence on repeat accuracy in the automated manufacturing process.
All original design data is documented and traceable by the manufacturer, which is an important contribution to process reliability and compliance with the Machinery Directive (EU) 2023/1230, particularly with regard to functional safety, tamper protection and digital traceability.
